What defines a Christmas miracle in 2020?​

Christmas is synonymous with gifts but with 2020 being such a tough year it forces us to take a step back and realize the value of all that we have because despite the circumstance that we're in, what we have and take for granted is sometimes all that someone else wants. 

 

This Christmas video is based on a true story about a man who has been separated from his pregnant wife due to the COVID-19 restrictions. For Christmas, he wants nothing more than to be by her side during the birth of their first child. Will they manage to find a way? 

 

To tell their story I wanted to inject a sense of Christmas fantasy into the script. The visuals from the film are in the present (no pun intended) while the narration is spoken in a fairy tale tone. I did this to make the viewers root for the couple while also giving them an opportunity to reflect on their own lives to understand that the greatest gift of all is sometimes so simple yet so unobtainable for some and that we shouldn't take our blessings for granted.
